Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost and how long is a session?

Session fees are £50 for 50 minutes.

The initial assessment fee is also £50 although I provide additional time at no extra cost for this first meeting if required.

Concessions are available for those in therapeutic training.

What are the methods of payment?

I accept payment via bank transfer in advance of the session. You can choose to pay per session or block booking sessions in advance, whichever you prefer.

When can I book an appointment with you?

I am available during weekdays. Day and evening appointments are both subject to availability.

I see that you offer a choice of either face to face counselling or online, which is best for me?

Having moved my practice online during lockdown, the response was immensely positive and I have chosen to retain working in this way whilst also resuming in person counselling sessions in Rochester. Some clients prefer the experience of being present in the same room as their therapist, others have discovered that the flexibility that online counselling provides is helpful when trying to manage working/studying and family life. Online counselling means that you don't have to factor in travel or parking, it's time saving and cost effective.

>Good counselling is very much based on the working relationship that builds between client and counsellor and I am passionate about the work that I do, providing a safe, trusting and non-judgmental space for us to work together. The initial assessment (first session) is an open opportunity for you to experience counselling, no matter whether it's face to face or remotely, before making your decision. It could be the decision that changes everything for you moving forward.
